A website for your business
$850 flat for a five or six page site built for your kind of business. The first three local businesses pay $650.
What you get
- A five or six page site built from one of four templates made for local businesses: trades, restaurants, lodging and guides, shops and offices. See the demos.
- Your own words and photos in it, filled in from one intake form we work through together.
- A contact form that sends messages to your own email.
- Set up for Google from day one, with the business details search engines read, a sitemap, and a preview image for when someone shares your link.
- Built to work on a phone first.
- One round of changes after you see it.
- Your first year of hosting.
- A sit-down after it goes live where I show you how it all works, on your own phone.
What isn't included
- The domain. You register it in your name, on your own card. A .com is about $11 to $12 a year at the registrar I'll set you up with.
- A logo, photography, or writing beyond the intake form. Phone photos taken in daylight are fine.
- Online ordering, a booking calendar or a shopping cart.
- New pages after launch, or ongoing changes without site care. I quote those before I start.
How it goes
- We pick the template that fits your business.
- You sign the agreement and pay half: $425, or $325 if you're one of the first three.
- We sit down for about an hour, at your slow time, and work through the intake form together.
- You set up your own form account and register your domain while I sit next to you. It takes about fifteen minutes.
- You send me photos. I'll give you a checklist for your kind of business.
- I build it and send you a preview. You get a round of changes.
- It goes live. I send a test through the contact form from a phone, then walk you through the site.
How long it takes
Days, once I have your answers and your photos. The clock starts when the photos land, not when you sign. Photos are the one thing that ever holds these up.
Showing up in Google search builds over the first few weeks after it goes live.
Questions people ask
Why only five or six pages?
That's what a business like yours needs. Past that it's pages nobody opens. If you're picturing something specific that isn't on the list, tell me and I'll tell you what it costs.
Can I update it myself?
Small stuff, yes, and I'll show you how when it goes live. If you'd rather just text me the changes, that's what site care is for.
What happens if I stop paying you?
Nothing happens to your site. The domain is in your name and the form goes to your email. Whenever you ask, the site moves to your own free Cloudflare account.
Who owns it when it's done?
You do, once it's paid in full. That's written into the agreement, so you can read it before you sign.
How many of these have you done?
Not many yet. That's why the first three are $650. The demo sites show what they look like.
